eFUME® ACTIVE is the active ingredient component of the eFUME® fumigation system, containing high-purity ethyl formate, a naturally occurring compound found in many foods and beverages.   • Ethyl formate is one of the oldest fumigant chemistries known to science, with its insecticidal properties first documented in the early 1900s.
